Woman, 87, sees Lincolnshire home ransacked
Two men ransacked a Lincolnshire house in front of the 87-year-old owner after talking their way inside.
The suspects called at the property in Nettleton Road, Caistor, on Thursday afternoon and said they had lost a cat.
Once inside, they forced the woman to sit in her kitchen while the home was searched, causing what police described as a "significant" amount of damage.
Officers said a handbag and jug of change were taken and the householder was left extremely distressed.
It is believed the two offenders may have been using a dark coloured car. The handbag was later recovered in Middle Rasen.
Police have appealed for information.
