Two men are arrested over Gainsborough stabbing

Two men have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 47-year-old man in a Lincolnshire town.

The victim was attacked in Trinity Street, Gainsborough, between 00:30 and 01:00 BST on 16 July.

He was taken to hospital in Scunthorpe to be treated and has since been discharged.

The two men, aged 25 and 47, have been questioned by detectives and both released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers are still seeking a third suspect. He is described as white, about 6ft tall, muscular with fair cropped hair.
