Lincolnshire Scout leader jailed over indecent photos

A Lincolnshire beaver scout leader who was caught with more than 1,200 indecent photographs of children has been jailed for eight months.

Lincoln Crown Court heard Christopher Bewick told police "I'm pleased you've come" when they raided his home in Salem Street, Gosberton, last August.

The 30-year-old admitted five charges of possessing indecent images of children but no scouts were involved.

He was also ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

The court was told a total 1,257 indecent images were found on the notebook computer, a memory card, thumb drive and CD.

The university graduate led a beaver scout patrol of children aged six and seven.
