Burglars take 2,000 shotgun cartridges in Lincolnshire

Burglars have stolen about 2,000 shotgun cartridges from a property in Lincolnshire.

Police said the ammunition, which was new and boxed, was taken from a premises on Donna Nook Road in North Somercotes.

Officers described the missing cartridges as Fioochi 28g clay Top 1 which have distinctive blue casings.

The theft was discovered on 21 August but could have taken place in the two weeks prior to this, officers said.

Police have appealed for anyone with any information about the theft to contact them.
