Six arrested by Lincolnshire metal theft police

Six men have been arrested and a tonne of lead seized by police investigating metal theft in Lincolnshire.

Officers from Operation Brompton, which targets metal crime, had pulled over two vehicles on the A46 Damon's Roundabout, near Lincoln, on Thursday.

The men, two aged 29 and the others 34, 33, 28 and 22, all from Lincoln, were questioned on suspicion of theft and bailed pending further inquiries.

Officers said anyone with information on metal theft should contact them.
