Lead worth £5,000 stolen from Sibsey church roof

Lead worth thousands of pounds has been stolen from the roof of a church in Lincolnshire.

The theft from St Margaret's Church in Old Main Road in Sibsey was discovered on Thursday morning.

The offenders used a vehicle to remove the lead, which is thought to be worth about £5,000, said a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has any information is urged to contact police.
