Lincolnshire lake death toddler identified by police

A 19-month-old boy whose body was found in a lake at a caravan park in Lincolnshire at the weekend has been named by police.

The body of Kai Game of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, was recovered from the lake on Saturday afternoon.

He had wandered away from his family as they were pitching a tent.

Lincolnshire police said the death at Skegness Water and Leisure Park appeared to be a tragic accident and was not being treated as suspicious.

Sgt Andy Hickinbottom said the boy wandered away from his parents and was missing for a short time before being found in the water.

"Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family," Sgt Hickinbottom, who is based at Skegness police station, said.

The boy was taken to Boston's Pilgrim Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
