Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery at a jewellery shop in Lincolnshire.

Officers said the jewellers in Spilsby High Street was robbed by a man carrying what appeared to be a black hand gun on Saturday morning.

He is described as white, 6ft tall, and of slim athletic build.

An 18-year-old man who was arrested on Saturday evening has been released without charge.

The offender was wearing a scarf over his face and carrying a rucksack, said police.

It is believed he entered the town centre via Boston Road before leaving the town through gardens in Dennett Close, Ancaster Avenue and crossing playing fields and gardens in Winston Road.

Police are asking local residents to check their gardens for any items of discarded clothing or property, especially a dark rucksack, which police believe could have been used during the robbery.
