Two killed in road crashes in Lincolnshire

Two people died and four people have been seriously injured in two separate crashes on Lincolnshire's roads.

A woman was killed in a collision between two cars and a Transit van on the A153 at Honington near Grantham.

Four other people suffered serious injuries in the accident which happened at 10:30 BST on Thursday.

Later, motorcyclist John Baxter, 51, of Branston, died in a collision with a car at the Canwick Road/Washingborough Road junction of the A15 in Lincoln.

A 52-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She was released on police bail pending further inquiries after the crash which happened at 14:10 BST on Thursday.

Police have appealed for witnesses to both incidents to come forward.
