Appeal to identify Spilsby Road crash victim

Police have released a description of a man hit by a lorry on a Lincolnshire road in a bid to identify him.

The pedestrian was walking across the A16 Spilsby Road at Boston when the crash happened on Sunday morning.

He was white, possibly in his mid-50s with dark, grey-flecked hair, and a scar on his lower left arm, probably from an operation.

He was wearing silver-rimmed glasses when he was struck by the Volvo box van at about 10:00 BST.

He also had on a gold watch with a brown leather strap, a dark pink or purple long-sleeved shirt, beige shorts, beige socks and size 10 black steel toe-capped shoes.

Anyone with any information has been asked to contact Lincolnshire Police.
