A Derby van driver has been given a suspended prison sentence for killing another motorist in Lincolnshire.

Manjit Sumal, 42, from Littleover, received nine months imprisonment suspended for 18 months for drifting onto the wrong side of the road.

Ernest Norton, 84, from Wellingore, was airlifted to hospital after the crash on the A607 at Leadenham in October 2010 but died later from his injuries.

At Lincoln Crown Court Sumal was also banned from driving for two years.

The front-seat passenger in Mr Norton's green Peugeot also suffered serious injuries in the crash.
