Consultation prompts changes to Spalding bypass plan

Plans for a relief road in Lincolnshire are being amended after more than 300 people took part in a consultation.

In the summer, residents were asked their views on the second phase of the Spalding Western Relief Road, which would connect it to the Bourne Road.

Lincolnshire County Council said there would be a redesign of the section near Monks House in order to protect trees which have preservation orders.

A new junction will also be added to allow for better access to the road.

The first phase of the project is being built as part of the Holland Park development and is being funded by developers Broadgate Homes.
