One of Lincoln's main roads had to be closed after a tree was blown down in strong winds.

The tree came down on Wragby Road, near to Christ's Hospital School, at about 16:30 GMT.

No-one was injured but a parked car was crushed by the tree. Lincolnshire Police and the Highways Agency were called to the scene.

Work was carried out to remove the tree and the road reopened later on Thursday evening.
