Organisers of the Lincoln Cathedral Flower Festival said they had raised more than £100,000 at this year's event.

The cathedral had 130 floral arrangements with an Olympic-inspired Dreams of Gold theme.

All the profits will go towards the cathedral's Fabric Fund to meet the cost of repairs to the building.

Andrea Green, the Fund Development Officer, said the five-day event had been a phenomenal success.
