Sleaford residents reassured over CCTV cameras

A Lincolnshire council has reassured residents their town will not lose its CCTV cameras after members voted to end a five-year improvement project.

Sleaford's BID (Business Improvement District), set up in 2007, will cease to exist after fee-paying members voted against proposals to renew the group.

The town's BID, which aimed to improve and promote Sleaford, also contributed to CCTV running costs.

But North Kesteven District Council said it would pick up the funding gap.
