Gritters are out in force on key routes across Lincolnshire, according to the county council.

The snow plough was brought out three times overnight on Friday. Motorists were urged to take care over the weekend.

The Met Office said a yellow warning for ice was in place.

Flights and train services were operating normally on Saturday, according to East Midlands Airport, East Coast and East Midlands Trains.

East Midlands Airport said flights had resumed at around 22:00 GMT on Friday after heavy snowfall forced it to suspend services.

Some train delays occurred on Saturday morning, East Midlands Trains said.

The Met Office said further snow flurries were expected later on Saturday.
