Minibus driver dies after Metheringham crash

A driver died after his minibus left the road and hit a pedestrian in a Lincolnshire town.

Police said the man died in hospital after the crash on High Street in Metheringham near Lincoln.

A pedestrian was treated for minor injuries after being hit by the minibus.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said officers were investigating whether the man fell ill at the wheel of the minibus.

Any witnesses to the crash are being asked to contact police.
