Man arrested over Skegness Money Shop attempted robbery

A man has been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery at a money lender's in Skegness.

Armed officers were called to the Money Shop on Lumley Road in the town at about 10:00 BST on Monday.

Police said a man threatened shop staff using a weapon before fleeing empty-handed. No-one was injured.

Officers said a 47-year-old local man had been released on bail until 9 August.
