Dunholme woman's death prompts murder probe

Police at Merleswyn in Dunholme Police investigating the death have searched a bungalow in Merleswyn in Dunholme

A murder investigation has begun after the death of a 79-year-old Lincolnshire woman.

Medical staff alerted police when the woman, from Merleswyn in Dunholme, was admitted to Lincoln County Hospital on Sunday.

She died two days later but officers have not released any more information about the nature of her injuries.

A 51-year-old man from West Yorkshire has been arrested in connection with the death.
