Alford crash leaves second victim, 16, dead
A second victim has died after a three-vehicle crash that left six other people injured.
The 16-year-old boy, from Lincoln, died at Hull Royal Infirmary where he was taken after the crash at Saleby near Alford in Lincolnshire on Friday.
A 70-year-old woman, from Mablethorpe, also died and six people remain in hospital, including an 11-year-old boy.
Police have appealed for witnesses of the crash on the A1104, which involved two cars and a van, to contact them.
A Vauxhall Corsa, a Ford C-Max and a Mercedes van were involved in the collision on Snape Hill.
The injured people are being treated at hospitals in Hull, Grimsby, Boston and Nottingham.
The road was closed until the early hours of Saturday.
The van driver, a 50-year-old man from Boston, was not hurt in the crash.
