Seven 'rescued' in Lincolnshire slavery raids

Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of slavery offences after raids in Lincolnshire and two other locations in the UK.

Seven alleged victims aged between 19 and 48 are being assessed by doctors and will be interviewed later.

They are being cared for by county council and NHS staff.

Raids with neighbouring forces and the National Crime Agency were carried out around Lincoln, at another site in the East Midlands and in the London area.

The six men and a woman who were arrested are aged between 21 and 53, police said.
