Lincoln boy's death treated as suspicious by police
The death of a nine-year-old boy in Lincolnshire is being treated as suspicious by police.
Officers were called to an address in Pennell Street, Lincoln at about 12:00 GMT where they found the child who was taken to Lincoln County Hospital.
He was pronounced dead a short time later and a 64-year-old man is helping police with their inquiries.
A cordon has been put in place at the address while officers carry out investigations.
Resident James Carver told BBC Radio Lincolnshire people in the street were shocked.
He said: "The street is normally very quiet with a lot of families.
"It is really sad news, especially with it being so close to Christmas."
