Six youths have denied murdering a 42-year-old Lincolnshire man.

Warren Free, of Coronation Close, Spalding, died in hospital in August after being found with head injuries at his home.

Two girls aged 15, two boys aged 15, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy all entered not guilty pleas during a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court.

Two of the boys also deny a charge of perverting the course of justice, relating to a pole used in the attack.

All of the defendants, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were bailed, five into the care of the local authority.

A trial is due to start on 15 June and is expected to last six weeks.
