A fire at an industrial estate in Lincolnshire has caused extensive damage and forced the closure of a main road.

Six fire engines were called to the fire on Grantham Road in Waddington near Lincoln late on Wednesday night.

A large shed used as a joinery workshop was damaged in the blaze.

It is believed the fire started after machinery in the workshop overheated when it was left running overnight, a fire service spokesman said.

The A607 Grantham Road was closed for several hours but re-opened on Thursday morning.
