Woman, 70, dies in Boston waterway car plunge

A woman has died after the car she was driving plunged into a waterway.

The 70-year-old driver was found seriously injured in the submerged vehicle in the Maud Foster Drain, Boston on Tuesday morning.

The woman, who is yet to be named, was taken to the Pilgrim Hospital in the town, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police remain on the scene while an investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues.
