Man dies after fight by London club
Police have started a murder investigation after a man assaulted in south London died of his injuries.
The man, in his early 20s, was found suffering from serious head injuries in Southwark Street, Southwark, at about 0430 GMT on Sunday.
He was taken to Royal London Hospital but died during the early hours of Monday morning.
The man's family have been told but a formal identification and post-mortem examination are yet to take place.
On Sunday four men were arrested on suspicion of murder.
Two were later released but the others remain in custody at south London police stations.
Det Ch Insp Dave Manning said: "We believe the victim spent Saturday night with friends in the club La Pollero Collera, London Bridge.
'Fracas broke out'
"It would appear that between 0400 and 0430, the victim and his friends were involved in some sort of disagreement with another group inside the club.
"A fracas broke out and the victim, with one of his friends, was ejected from the club by security."
Det Ch Insp Dave Manning continued: "Shortly after he was attacked by a group of people on Southwark Street.
"Southwark Street and the general area would have been busy with people including night workers, commuters and revellers leaving the club.
"I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the altercation to contact the police."
