Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed has been arrested on suspicion of affray following a brawl at a nightclub.

The 23-year-old was questioned on Wednesday after attending a police station in Ilford, east London.

It followed a row at Wright's Deuces Bar and Lounge, in Chigwell in Essex, in the early hours of Monday.

Mr Tweed, who married Big Brother star Goody, 27, shortly before she lost her battle against cervical cancer in March 2009, was released on police bail.

His friend Mark Wright, 23, who appears in reality TV programme The Only Way Is Essex, was arrested at the scene with his 20-year-old brother Lewis.

Mr Wright's spokesperson said he stepped in to "protect his nightclub" after going outside when a scuffle broke out.

A 21-year-old builder suffered a black eye and bruised face during the brawl, but refused medical treatment.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A 23-year-old man attended an east London police station by appointment and was arrested on suspicion of affray."
