Murder hunt after student killed in East Ham

Police have launched a murder hunt after a Polish student died of head, neck and facial injuries.

Police found the man's body when they attended a basement flat in East Ham, east London, at 1615 GMT on 19 January.

The victim, who lived in Tottenham, north London, has yet to be formally identified.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Devon in connection with the murder and remains in custody. A 20-year-old woman was also arrested in Leicester.

She is currently in custody at an east London police station.
