'Dangerous' prisoner is arrested after absconding

A prisoner who had absconded has been traced and arrested, the Metropolitan Police have said.

Wayne Harris had failed to return to his bail accommodation in Newham, east London, on Monday.

The 41-year-old was jailed for eight years at Snaresbrook Crown Court in 2007 for offences including false imprisonment and serious violence.

He had been released on licence when he disappeared, and officers detained him in the Newham area on Friday.
