Man's leg stuck in wheel of bus after Bexleyheath fight

A man has been injured after getting his leg stuck in the wheel of a bus.

The bizarre injury happened after a fight broke out in Bexleyheath, south London, at about 0140 GMT.

Police said the man appeared to have fallen against a moving bus before getting injured.

He was taken to hospital with a leg wound but is not thought to have suffered a serious injury. Officers from Bexleyheath CID are investigating the incident.

It remains unclear how the victim managed to get his leg stuck in the wheel of the bus.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "We were called at 1.40am to a fight in the Broadway, Bexleyheath.

"A man in his 30s went to hospital with a leg injury.

"His condition is not thought to be serious."

The spokesman said officers had initially assumed there had been a road traffic accident before the true nature of the incident made itself clear.
