A man who was murdered in west London has been named as 29-year-old Piotr Maculewicz.

Metropolitan Police (Met) said officers were called at 1940 GMT on Friday 11 March to reports of a disturbance in Sulgrave Gardens, Hammersmith.

The Polish man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 31 and 27, were arrested in connection with the death. Both were later bailed until May.

A post-mortem examination on 13 March did not establish a formal cause of death and the police are awaiting results from further tests.

The Met said that prior to the incident Mr Maculewicz could have been involved in a fight.

Det Ch Insp Howard Groves said: "We have established that prior to being found Mr Maculewicz was in a lock-up off the forecourt area of Sulgrave Gardens, and there may have been a fight.

"There would have been people coming and going at the time of the incident.

"The area is overlooked by a number flats and I am sure there are people who may have witnessed what happened and I am encouraging those people to contact the incident room."
