Catford homes evacuated over 'death threats'

Several homes in south London were evacuated when armed officers were called to a domestic incident.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's specialist firearms unit CO19 attended the incident in Conisborough Crescent, Catford, on Friday afternoon.

Police said a man - thought to be in his late 30s or early 40s - was arrested on Saturday morning on suspicion of making threats to kill.

Residents who left their homes had since been allowed to return.
