Man shot in arm in Tulse Hill, south London

Police are investigating after a man was apparently shot and wounded in south-west London.

Shots were heard at about 1325 GMT in Bristowe Close, Tulse Hill.

Police who attended discovered evidence that a gun had been fired, but found no-one with any injuries.

A man then turned up at a south London hospital suffering a gunshot wound to the arm. His injury is not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Trident unit, which investigates gun crime within the black community, are investigating.

They appealed for witnesses to the attack.

A Met spokesman said the man who arrived at hospital was the person shot in Tulse Hill.

No-one has been arrested.
