A body found in the Serpentine in London's Hyde Park is thought to be that of a missing student.

Divers pulled the man's body from the water after it was spotted by a walker on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said they believe it is that of Anthony Soh, 18, who was last seen by friends in the grounds of Imperial College, Exhibition Road, on 22 March.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

Officers were called at about 1250 BST after members of the public reported seeing the body, and a cordon was put up around the area.

Police had made appeals over the whereabouts of Mr Soh after friends and family became concerned for his welfare.

He was last seen socialising with friends at university and later captured on CCTV turning into Kensington Gore towards Harrods department store.
