Father denies murder of 14-month-old son in east London

A man has been remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to killing his toddler son in east London.

Fourteen-month-old Fletcher Allen was pronounced dead at an east London hospital on 6 January.

A post-mortem examination found the child died from a blunt trauma injury to the abdomen.

Nathan Allen, 26, of Erith Crescent, Romford, denied the boy's murder when he appeared at the Old Bailey. He will go on trial on 11 July.
