Bow stabbing: Police release names of man and woman

The names have been released of a man and a woman whose deaths in east London have been linked by police.

Lucinda Port, 29, was found stabbed in Brymay Close, Bow, where she lived, on Tuesday morning.

Paul Wright, 31, from the Tower Hamlets area, was discovered hanged in Weavers Fields, Bethnal Green, on Sunday night.

The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, owing to "previous contact" between officers and the pair who died.

Scotland Yard said it would be "inappropriate" to comment further about the involvement of the police watchdog.

An inquest will open into both deaths at St Pancras Coroner's Court, Camden, north London, on Tuesday.
