Boy cyclist killed in Dagenham crash

A schoolboy cyclist has been killed in a crash involving a car in east London.

Thomas Stone, 13, suffered fatal injuries when he came off his bike in Bell Farm Avenue, Dagenham, on Tuesday night.

The teenager was treated by paramedics but died at the scene, Metropolitan Police said.

A woman, thought to be the driver, and a man, thought to be a passenger, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later bailed.

Witnesses to the crash, which happened at 1945 BST and involved a blue Toyota Celica, have been urged to contact police.
