A jury trying an alleged teenage hitman over the murder of a mother has retired to consider its verdict.

Gulistan Subasi, 26, was gunned down on her mother's doorstep at a flat in Hackney, east London, in March 2010, the Old Bailey heard.

Serdar Ozbek, 28, of Wood Green, north London, and the alleged gunman, now 16, who cannot be named, deny murder.

Izak Billy, 22, of Willesden, Paul Nicalaou, 29, of Tottenham, and Leigh Bryan, 25, of Hornsey also deny murder.

Miss Subasi is alleged to have been killed on the orders of ex-partner Mr Ozbek because he feared she would take their nine-year-old son away.

A 17-year-old and Zeon Jackman, 22, were cleared of involvement in the murder at an earlier stage.
