Men in court over van crash death of Charles Bunyasi

Two men have appeared in court over the the death of a delivery driver who was struck by his own van.

Charles Bunyasi, 49, of Mitcham, was hit by the Ford Transit in Coulsdon, south London, on Saturday while making a delivery. He later died in hospital.

Terell Thuesday, 28, of Redsan Close, Croydon, appeared via videolink before magistrates in Camberwell, charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

David Browne, 47 of Fulham, was accused of perverting the course of justice.

Mr Thuesday is also charged with perverting the course of justice and driving whilst disqualified.

He will next appear, alongside Mr Browne of Fulham Road, Fulham, at Croydon Crown Court at a date to be fixed.

Mr Bunyasi, a father-of-three, worked for Sutton Council's parks team for 12 years and did delivery jobs at weekends.
