Neighbours rescue man from house fire in Feltham

Neighbours rescued a man after a fire broke out in west London house.

They used a ladder to get him down from the two-floor, semi-detached house on Eastbourne Road in Feltham.

Three other people left the house by themselves as 30 firefighters attended the blaze, which destroyed the roof and much of the first floor.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said they had been called at about 06:00 BST and added the cause of the fire was under investigation.

The London Ambulance Service said it treated one man at the scene and he was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
