Edmonton attempted murder case: Teenager charged

A teenager has been charged with the attempted murder of a schoolboy who was stabbed in the same north London street where a man died a few days earlier.

The 16-year-old suspect from Leyton, east London, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court in north London on Saturday. The victim, 15, is in a serious but stable condition.

Steven Grisales, 21, was killed near Silver Street station in Edmonton.

Police do not believe the two incidents are related.

A second 16-year-old arrested over the stabbing, also from Edmonton, was bailed to return to a north London police station on 12 October.

Mr Grisales was was killed after he remonstrated with some youths throwing conkers as he made his way to the railway station on 31 August.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with his murder.
