Wimbledon stabbing: Teenager attacked outside station

A teenager has been seriously injured in a stabbing on shopping street in south-west London.

The victim, 18, was attacked in Wimbledon Bridge, close to Wimbledon railway and Tube station and is said to be in a critical condition in hospital.

No arrests have yet been made following the attack at 16:15 BST on Friday.

There have been several stabbings in London this week, including the attempted murder of a 15-year-old in Edmonton, north London, on Wednesday.

He is serious but stable in hospital after being attacked in the same street where Steven Grisales, 21, was fatally stabbed after remonstrating with a group of youths who were throwing conkers at him.

A man in his 50s was also stabbed and injured in Edmonton on Wednesday.
