London Riots: Looter jailed over £40k Tottenham haul

A looter has been sentenced to nine months in prison for handling thousands of pounds of goods stolen during the London riots.

Julian Revere Warner, 25, of Cotton Close, Leytonstone, east London, pleaded guilty at Wood Green Crown Court, north London.

He handled large screen 3D televisions, Apple Mac computers and laptops stolen from Dixons in Tottenham.

In total the hoard was worth about £40,000.

Warner has spent 63 days remanded in custody to date and these will count towards his sentence.
