Two accused with war memorial plaque theft in Lewisham

Two people have been charged after a war memorial plaque honouring World War I servicemen was stolen in south-east London.

The plaque was taken from Lewisham High Street around 20 October, police said.

Despite "extensive enquiries" by officers it has not been found.

A man and a woman, both 42, are accused of theft and will appear at Greenwich Magistrates' Court on separate dates later this year.
