Two men who died after attending all-night clubbing events in north London over the weekend have been named.

Lloyd Jones, 21, and Richard Baker, 20, died after attending Lock' N' Load dance music events at Alexandra Palace.

The Metropolitan Police said it was investigating whether the men took illegal substances, possibly MDMA, the chemical name for ecstasy.

But the causes of their deaths remain unknown after post-mortem examinations proved inconclusive.

An inquest was opened and adjourned at Barnet Coroner's Court, in north London, while coroners await the results of toxicology tests.

Alexandra Palace and Lock' N' Load Events, which organised the nights, have said they are "deeply shocked".

Mr Baker attended a drum and bass and "dubstep" event on Friday night that continued into Saturday.

Mr Jones went to a separate dance event featuring Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong, which went from Saturday night into Sunday.
