Fire cuts water pressure to homes in Orpington

Homes in south-east London are suffering water supply problems as firefighters tackle a large rubbish fire.

The blaze in Cornwall Drive, Orpington, began at about 18:30 GMT on Saturday.

Firefighters are still at the scene which has resulted in houses in the area suffering low water pressure.

Thames Water said people in the BR5 postcode area were affected and it was trying to open more mains to alleviate the problem.
