Man is arrested over 1999 murder in Tottenham

A 36-year-old man has been arrested over the murder of a father-of-two in north London 12 years ago.

David Scott, 30, of Tottenham, was found fatally wounded in the early hours of the morning after being stabbed in an underpass near his home.

He died in North Middlesex Hospital an hour after the attack in August 1999.

A 36-year-old man arrested at an address in Barnet is currently in custody in an east London police station.

Police still want information about a man seen crouching over Mr Scott before running off and jumping over a nearby wall. He was described as in his early 20s and black.

They also hope to hear from other people at the scene who initially called for assistance, but then made off.
