Raynes Park power cut affects 3,500 homes

More than 3,500 homes have been without electricity because of a power cut in south-west London.

A fault with an underground cable in Raynes Park caused a blackout for 3,585 homes at 14:30 GMT.

UK Power Networks said electricity had been restored to all customers by shortly after 18:00 GMT.

"We appreciate how difficult it is to be without electricity and we apologise for any inconvenience caused," a spokesman said.
