Romford attack: Two bailed over Exchange Street fight
Two men have been bailed over an assault in east London that left one man with a fractured skull and another with a broken jaw.
The victims were attacked during a fight in Exchange Street, Romford, at about 03:15 GMT on 24 December.
The first, who is 21, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital, while the second, aged 22, was discharged by medics after his jaw was treated.
Police have bailed a 25-year-old and a 22-year-old until 22 February.
Officers are still searching for other people who took part in the brawl, which is thought to have involved between six and eight men.
"We are still appealing for witnesses to come forward and help us piece together the full circumstances of the incident," said Det Sgt Sara Yems, of the Metropolitan Police.
"Although it was the early hours, the area was still busy and we need people to come forward."
