Teenager in court accused of Cheryl Tariah murder

A man has appeared in court accused of the murder of a 17-year-old girl who was found dead in a bedsit.

Ako Amin, 18, is charged with killing Cheryl Tariah at flats in Barkingside, east London, earlier this month.

He appeared at the Old Bailey via videolink on Wednesday and was remanded in custody until a plea and case management hearing on 21 May.

No application for bail was made.
